Glenn Singleton is a globally recognized thought leader, architect of racial equity, and a pioneering force in leadership development with over three decades of experience. As Founder and CEO of Courageous Conversation®, he has dedicated his career to transforming dialogue and advancing equity across education, government, corporate, law enforcement, and community sectors.
A celebrated author and strategic visionary, Glenn is the creator of the groundbreaking Courageous Conversation® protocol and Beyond Diversity™ curriculum—frameworks that have empowered hundreds of thousands to foster profound, sustained dialogue and implement transformative practices. His award-winning publications, including Courageous Conversations About Race; A Field Guide for Achieving Equity in Schools, Third Edition and MORE Courageous Conversations About Race, have become essential resources in the pursuit of racial justice.
Glenn’s expertise has been sought by leading global organizations such as Wieden+Kennedy, Google, Amazon, Procter & Gamble, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, among others. His contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including the 2017 Most Valuable Partnership Award by AdColor, the George A. Coleman Excellence in Equity Award, a citation in The Hollywood Reporter, the AdWeek/AdColor 2020 Champion Award, the 2021 Ad Age Creativity Awards Diversity & Inclusion Champion of the Year, and the National Speech and Debate Association 2023 Communicator of the Year Award.
Beyond his professional achievements, Glenn is a committed philanthropist and community builder. In 1995, he founded the Foundation for A College Education and continues to serve on its Board of Advisors. He also chairs the Board of the Courageous Conversation® Global Foundation, an organization dedicated to forging partnerships that advance racial justice, promote interracial understanding, and support global human healing.
Internationally, Glenn’s influence extends to training law enforcement leaders with the U.S. Embassy in Western Australia and establishing the Courageous Conversation® South Pacific Institute in Auckland, New Zealand. An experienced educator, he has served as an adjunct professor of educational leadership at San Jose State University and has been a guest lecturer at prestigious institutions including Harvard University, the University of Minnesota, New York University School of Medicine, and the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas.
A distinguished alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford University, Glenn Singleton is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and 100 Black Men. He currently resides in Washington, D.C., and Accra, Ghana.
